About Little Oak Learning and Developmental Center

At Little Oak Learning and Developmental Center your child will spend the day in a safe and healthy environment. Group times are planned as a change of pace -- not as a major activity of the day. We focus on gross and fine motor skills development through play activities. You can find more information on our staff, recent news about Little Oak, our Closing and Event Schedule, as well as our policies below.

Our Staff

Our highly-trained, experienced and caring staff is dedicated to providing the best possible care for your child. Our teachers are certified and State-approved. Here's just a bit of information on some of our staff members:

Janine Suggs is the Director of the Succasunna location of Little Oak. She attended William Paterson University where she received a B.A. in Art History, Women's Studies, and a certificate of teaching in Elementary Education. She loves teaching and believes she can make the biggest contribution in the early childcare arena. Janine has worked in day care for over six years and has been with Little Oak for over three years. She teaches Kindergarten and Pre-K. She also helps the before and after school children with homework, science, art, reading, history, math and social issues. When it comes to Camp Little Oak, where she is the Program Director, she spends her summers taking the children on field trips and provides them with a stress-free, stimulating, and fun-filled break from the school year routine.

Nancy Duffy (aka Ms. Nancy) is the Director of the Randolph location of Little Oak. She graduated with honors (cum laude) in 1995 from Montclair State University with a Bachelor of Science degree in Mathematics. She has since returned to Montclair State University where she obtained her Masters degree in Mathematics Education. At one point in her career, she was a high school mathematics teacher at Livingston High School. Then along came her son Michael. Being a mom was the most important thing to Miss Nancy, but she loved to teach - and is quite good at it too! That's when she started to work with Little Oak Learning and Developmental Center. Now Ms. Nancy has the comfort of knowing her son is nearby while she enjoys inspiring all the children of Little Oak to excel, have fun, and love learning.
